At the end of our Skype session with Jessi’s parents on Wednesday, Miss Juli ended with, “Okay, I gotta go, there’s some things I need to go, there’s some things I need to go purchase on Amazon.” Two days later Prime came through with a few packages for our new baby.
In it was the book Jessi had been eagerly looking forward to, What to Expect, When You’re Expecting. Later that night she devoured the first four chapters. Some books came for me as well. Jessi decided to read Oh Baby, the Places You’ll Go!: A book to be read in Utero, a sweet book previewing the various Dr. Seuss stories (now that I think about it, the book was actually an ad for other Dr. Seuss books). Anyway, it was fun until it became teary at the end, talking about how excited everyone was to meet that baby.
Finally, there was a precious set of five yellow themed baby onesies. Jessi and I found that cradling these clothes definitely made it feel a bit more real.
